Tag-Up Foundation · New York City
Rewarding academic excellence with the tools to play ball.
In baseball, a runner must return to touch their base after a fly ball is caught before advancing on the next play.
Our name is the rule: excellence in the classroom is how our kids earn their way onto the field.
Our Mission
E-Quipped by Tag-Up is a non-profit organization that enables NYC’s underprivileged youth to have the gear they need to succeed on the baseball diamond.
The Founder
Tag-Up Foundation
Hi, I’m Maverick Satnick.
I founded Tag-Up as a 16-year-old high school baseball player from New York City. I grew up lucky enough to have equipment whenever I needed it, and when I realized kids were not as fortunate as myself, I chose to take initiative and help.
Our Impact
From equipment drives to hands-on clinics, Tag-Up puts gloves, bats, and cleats directly into the hands of NYC ballplayers who’ve earned them — pairing every handout with real coaching time on the field.
- Equipment provided directly to students who meet the academic bar
- On-field clinics run alongside local coaches and players
- Built by a player, for players, from the ground up in NYC
